David H. Blackwell
David Blackwell received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Connecticut State University in 1987 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1998.
Mr. Blackwell also received a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Hartford in 1992 where he was awarded the Woodruff Fellow of Public Administration.
From 1999 through 2003, Mr. Blackwell served the 12th House District as its State Representative.
During his legislative tenure, Mr. Blackwell was a member of the Education Committee, Finance Committee, Workforce Development Committee and served as the Ranking Member of the Planning and Development Committee.
Mr. Blackwell currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Community Colleges of Connecticut and is an Honorary Trustee at the Lutz Children’s Museum.
Mr. Blackwell is also affiliated with a transaction-based clinical legal program at the University of Connecticut School of Law where he is an adjunct instructor of a law school course entitled,
“Building Urban Communities.”
